Head of the fourth-instar larva of Ochlerotatus fulvus pallens (alveoli shown but most setae omitted): (a) anterodorsal aspect (external except for epistomal ridge and compound eyes); (b) anterolateral aspect as seen with the dorsal apotome removed (antennae, eyes, maxillae and most setae omitted); (c) posteroventral aspect (external; some internal sclerotised structures omitted).
